All Players New and Returning wishing to tryout MUST PRE-REGISTER ONLINE


Any player wishing to tryout with Boynton United FC should register below. After registering you will be contacted and invited to attend a training session. The team training sessions will serve as the tryout. When contacted, players will have the opportunity to choose the days of the week they wish to tryout to better fit their schedule.

Please note that Online Registration for 2024-2025 Competitive tryouts is FREE and does not commit any player to register with Boynton United FC for the upcoming season but it is important that all players register online prior to tryouts.

Once a player is offered a team position and chooses to accept it, the player agrees to a full commitment to Boynton United FC practices and a full competitive calendar (league, and tournaments).

Tryouts will be conducted by birth year as listed in the tables below. Current teams may also selectively evaluate players by invitation to team training sessions. If you require additional information or have any questions, please contact us via email at [email protected].

                                                                                                            

We ask that all prospective players complete a Tryout Evaluation Information Form before attending a tryout so we can expedite your check in at the field and as well as allowing us to communicate any changes or updates in the schedule.

What are we looking for?
When evaluating players during the season or at the tryout/player evaluation sessions, the Technical Staff evaluates each player in four different areas: 

• Technical - Individual ball mastery (skills).
• Tactical - The ability to make decisions on and off the ball.  
• Physical - Measure the speed, strength and agility standards of the player (abilities) and 
• Mental - the competitive psychological traits of the player or competitive nature of the player

In the Technical, Tactical, and Physical areas players are evaluated on the speed to which they can execute skill with success, decide when and what to do and their movement around the field. In the Mental area or psychological competitiveness, players are evaluated on their competitive toughness such as will to win, work rate and willingness to learn.

Therefore we strongly recommend that players, returning and aspiring, attend as many of the tryout sessions as possible to give themselves the best opportunity to be evaluated.

Player Acceptance Process

Once your child completes the tryout process, if they are selected for the team, you'll receive an email with the offer.

You'll then have a period of 48 hours to either accept and register or decline the offer. 
Should you decide to accept the spot on the team, you will need to register and select a payment plan for the club program fees.  

To participate in a BUFC competitive travel team, families must understand the commitment required before having their child try out for a team.
By accepting, you agree to commit to Boynton United FC ("BUFC") for the entire 10-month season, which runs from August 1 through May 31.

Players are encouraged to attend 3 tryout sessions. This will give you the best opportunity to be evaluated in a fair and comprehensive manner.  

Important tryouts information

Only one account should be created to include ALL family members.

A Parent must accompany the player to the 1st tryout session in order to sign the registration documents.

Please plan on arriving 30 minutes early for check-in.
What to wear: light color shirt, dark color shorts, long socks and shin guards.
Bring ball and water.
